"Bar Frau offers food, drink and takeaways to a predominantly Spanish custom base in a basic but clean environment. The bar is run by a super efficient, friendly staff some who speak English and probably half a dozen other European languages as well. The takeaway chicken at 10€ was flying out the door but needed to be pre-ordered as they had sold out when we asked. We settled for a couple of bocadillos, calamare and chorizo at 3.75€ each. Very filling and fresh. The menu de la dai was popular, and reasonable, served at the restaurant end of the bar. With beer at rock bottom price, Bar Frau makes a good lunchtime stop."

"It is one of the most iconic and oldest venues in Benissa. Simple and great place where you can get your coffee at 4am in the morning, always full with workers, builders and other hard working people. Tasty and super affordable without a sign of tourists"

"We stopped here today for the menu del dia , it was great value only 12 euros , the food was good and the portion sizes were quite generous, its a very large place but the service was good especially considering we came right on the lunchtime rush , its definitely worth a visit and next time we are in the area it's a place we will visit again"

"What a perfect place to have a meal on your way to (or way-back from) Calpe, which is one the biggest turistic places in Costa Blanca. The bar-restaurant is well placed, right next to a highway exit. There are many parking spots nearby, so you can easily park your car and walk. The food was exquisite, and the service was outstanding. I personally ordered a chivito, which is like a mixed sandwich of meat, eggs, salad, sauce and more, which I highly recommend if you eat a lot. Besides that, other meal that you are going to be satisfied with, is the Entrecôte(the one in the photo). This is a cheap place, which surprised me a lot. We only paid 32€ for 5 people and a dog(we gave it some meat pieces)."

"We were merely waiting for a bus outside Bar Frau but have experience of it from previous visits. It is a very good place to have lunch or just a coffee and has a very high standard in terms of quality, taste and service."
